Capital Village Public Charter Schools is grounded in the belief that receiving a quality education is a human right. Since opening our doors in 2020, we have worked diligently to prepare all students, regardless of background or circumstance, to reach their full potential in college, career, and life and to become agents of change in their communities. We vehemently reject the system of “haves” and “have-nots” that too often surrounds our public schools. Both our academic program and school environment are born out of an urgent need to rethink a status quo where some students excel, but others fall through the cracks.

Our theme for the 2024-2025 school year is Radical Excellence: Achieving our Vision Together as we believe that it takes an entire village of multi-faceted stakeholders working together to lift the whole child. Capital Village PCS is laser-focused on empowering students to pursue their passions, developing self-directed learners, and diversifying our enrichment and arts programs.

• Empower Students to Pursue Their Passions. We are committed to providing our active, social, and passionate middle school teens with a way to access learning experiences that are centered around their needs, interests, and passions. Your support will allow us to bring more teachers from diverse backgrounds into the classroom and partner with key members of the community who can share how they transformed their passions into professions and provide real-world experiences for our Capital Village change agents.
• Develop Self-Directed Learners. We are committed to transforming students from passive observers to active agents who make decisions about their learning. We believe that focusing on the social-emotional needs of our students is the first step in creating self-directed learners. Your support will provide us with the means to partner with more organizations and onboard more behavioral professionals who support the emotional well-being of our students, increasing student motivation and academic engagement.
• Diversify Our Enrichment And Arts Programs. We are committed to listening to our students’s voices and designing a well-rounded program that is not only academically rigorous but also filled with opportunities that make Capital Village inviting and fun. Your support will allow us to provide more enrichment and studio courses; such as art, music, dance, yoga, entrepreneurship, improvisation, etc.
